My family and I took a cruise on the Disney Magic in 2009. We are preparing for another cruise, this time on the Dream. When we sailed on the Magic they had a "Midnight" Dessert Buffet and we are wondering if they have that on the Disney Dream

    Ahoy, dessert-matey Anthony!

You and I have the same exact memorable moments when on a cruise... the food! My whole family has a sweet tooth too... really bad, since we all would gladly take dessert as an appetizer anytime! I love the midnight dessert events on the ships. One time, my kids were the very first in line and they had the best view... glorious untouched desserts waiting just for them. I must have taken 2 plates myself! :-)

I was just on the Disney Dream last month, and we loved the dessert spread at Cabanas which happened on Pirate Night. Similar to what you experienced on the Magic, immediately following the fireworks show, the buffet opened up for everyone. My kids really enjoyed the make-your-own crepe bar this time, accompanied by all the various types of cakes. Interestingly, we also found the 'alien legs' being served that night (roasted turkey legs). It was a midnight feast!

Schedules do change from time to time. So make sure you check the daily Personal Navigator. You'll get it delivered to your stateroom each night, and it will list all of the following days' events & venues. Your dining team will also remind you of anything happening after dinner, since they don't want you to miss anything either. For more dessert options, the complimentary 24-hour room service will also gladly deliver the cake of the day straight to your stateroom each night. Or, you can get warm cookies & milk for the kids... or better yet, those yummy Mickey Ice Cream Bars! It won't be on the menu... but go ahead and ask room service, and you'll get hooked up!

I'm sure you'll have an awesome time on your next voyage, Anthony! The Disney Dream will be waiting for you and you've got magical moments waiting to be made. Enjoy your cruise and say "Hi" to Captain Mickey for me!

    Bon voyage,
    ~Dolly
