    My family and I (2 toddlers + baby) will be visiting WDW the first week of march 2019. We can't decide where to stay: OKW or SSR. I've read that OKW is being refurbished and SSR will be in 2019. What resort will be best for us?

    Hi Marijn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I am thrilled to hear that you are planning a trip with your little ones to "The Most Magical Place on Earth!" Both of the Disney Resort hotels that you are considering are excellent choices!

    You are correct that Disney's Old Key West Resort has been undergoing some refurbishments this year and this will continue into next year. Parts of the resort are already completed, so if you do decide to stay here, you are welcome to call and request a refurbished room. Even though requests aren't guaranteed, the Cast Members do make every effort to meet them! You are also correct that Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is scheduled to experience some refurbishments next year, but from what information I have, I'm not certain exactly when this will take place.

    Both Disney Resort hotels require bus transportation to the theme parks, so complimentary Walt Disney World transportation is the same for both. My favorite thing about Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is the walkway that connects it to Disney Springs. If you plan on spending much time at Disney Springs, this would be the way to go!

    If you plan to spend more time at your resort, Disney's Old Key West Resort is my top choice. Between the slide, kiddie pool, and sandy beach at Sandcastle Pool, the delicious food at Olivia's Cafe, and the MANY activities available like game rooms, Conch Flats Community Hall, and outdoor recreation, there is a LOT to do there!
