We are a family of 6 on a tight budget, is it cheaper to get two rooms or a larger suite?

Hi, Katie!   Depending on what season you are traveling, standard rooms at All-Star Music start at about $82 per night, and the Family Suites start at about $184 per night.   (Prices subject to change.)  So if you were to book 2 rooms, it would be a little bit cheaper than the Family Suite.

Advantages of the Family Suite:   With the Suite, you get a kitchenette with mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave.    You can prepare small meals and keep snacks in the room to save money and simply for convenience.

Advantages of booking 2 Standard Rooms:  A little bit less expensive (but always check for special offers) and you get 2 double beds in each room so everyone gets a "real" bed compared to the Suite which has 1 queen bed, one double pull-out bed and two twin pull-out beds.

Remember though, if you book just the Standard Rooms, you lose the kitchenette and there is NOT a coffee maker or refrigerator (you can rent a frig for about $10 per night.)  Connecting rooms can be requested but are not guaranteed.

It really comes down to what will work best for your family.   If you want to have some meals in your room, the Family Suite is the way to go.   If you plan to be on the go most of the time at will not use the kitchenette, choose the 2 standard rooms.

Good luck choosing the best option for your family!

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
