Hi Shara! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
As a Christmas-fanatic, I am thrilled you are attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! Between the snow on Main Street, U.S.A., special character sightings, delicious snacks and goodies, unique shows and fireworks displays and the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade (my favorite!), there is so much fun to experience!
While we don't know exactly what restaurants will be open for this year's special event yet, I do know that last year the restaurants that were available during the party were Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella's Royal Table and The Crystal Palace. Two of the times that I have attended the party, I have made reservations at
Liberty Tree Tavern prior to the party, between 5-6 p.m. Like you, I love how the holiday-style dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern sets the mood for attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I prefer an earlier dinner time for a couple of reasons. First, I don't like to use the party time for dining in a restaurant because there is a lot to see and do that is special to the event and I don't want to miss anything! Second, there are a lot of complimentary goodies available during the party. Last year there was a range of treats - from pretzels, to cookies, to eggnog, to snow cones! An earlier dinner means more room in my tummy for these snacks during the party.
Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for an announcement about restaurants open during the party. Last year, this information was released in June, so I would expect an announcement this summer as well.
Enjoy your Christmas season vacation! Please visit us again with any other questions you may have!
