Welcome to planDisney! I’m so sorry that one of your family members wasn’t able to get tickets for
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! There is nothing quite like having everything planned out perfectly, and then something goes wrong (especially if you all have a family costume).
First things first, don’t panic yet, Priscilla. We may still be able to get you all together for the big event. While tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are not refundable or transferable, the value of the ticket does not expire! If your plans are flexible, you can reach out to a Cast Member in
Tickets and Hotel Reservations to see if they can change your event ticket to another date (it looks like September 15th and 20th still have some tickets remaining). In this scenario, the Cast Member would apply the value of your current tickets towards the purchase of tickets on a new date, pending availability. Now, if the new date you select is more expensive than the date you already have tickets for, then you will have to pay the difference. If you choose this route, I recommend having your family member purchase their ticket at the same time (or before) so you can make sure you all get tickets. The other option is if your plans aren't flexible (and honestly, it is a little too risky for my taste). You can head to Guest Services on September 18th in the morning and ask if any additional tickets are available for purchase for the night’s party. There are no guarantees, but sometimes tickets are left over, and you can purchase them if they are available. I have been to
Magic Kingdom on days when they do have extra tickets and days when they don't. It really is a pixie-dusted game of chance.
