    my family and I have tickets to mickeys halloween party. we have a dining reservation for be our guest at 5pm. I understand the party does not start until 7pm. will we be able to enter the park in costume before the party or not until the party starts?

    Hi Michelle, welcome back to planDisney!

    It's the middle of August and I don't have a single pumpkin on display in my home. What would Jack Skellington say?! In all seriousness, nothing says fall like the Mickey pumpkin wreaths that currently line Main Street, U.S.A., in Magic Kingdom Park. Those wreaths are just the tip of the autumnal iceberg that greets Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Guests. Through the mist at theme park entry, you'll see a boo-tiful photo op with stacked jack-o'-lanterns framing Cinderella Castle. Halloween props are also hiding in Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party-exclusive Magic Shots.

    I appreciate your attention to Disney details, Michelle. Guests of all ages are encouraged to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in costume, as long as they adhere to the official costume guidelines. The good news is, party Guests may enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 p.m. on their party date, and you'll have no trouble entering in costume for your meal at Be Our Guest Restaurant. My family's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party costume theme was Beauty and the Beast last year and we captured some memorable shots in front of the Beast's Castle - gargoyles included! Don't be afraid to explore all areas of the Beast's Castle during your meal, Michelle. This includes the West Wing, if you dare. And in case no one's told you yet - try the Grey Stuff, it really is delicious!

    My best tip for maximizing the magic during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is to catch the second Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade at 11:15 p.m. by the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade. If you time it right, you may even catch a pre-parade performance by the Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet. Their melodies are hauntingly beautiful.

    My last party tip is to make sure your costume plans include lightweight fabrics and comfortable shoes. My father-in-law will never forget the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party he turned into Cowardly Lion soup and my mother-in-law's feet still haven't forgiven her for following the magical brick road in ruby red slippers.
