Our family have tickets and are due to start enjoying Disney on the 29 April, when should I purchase Genie +

Hi Paul! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

Your trip is almost here, and I love that you're thinking ahead. I think you're making the right decision prioritizing the purchase of Disney's Genie+ Service. It's a fantastic option, which my family always chooses when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. We love spending less time waiting in queues, so we can spend more of it enjoying our time together.

You don't need to worry about purchasing Genie+ quite yet! You won't have the option to purchase Genie+ until the day of your park visit when you'll also see the day's pricing. Prices may vary by park and by date, so the prices you'd see today could be different from tomorrow.

I can walk you through how to go about making your Genie+ purchase. First, when you arrive, be sure you have the latest version of My Disney Experience downloaded to your mobile device and have all of your group connected in Friends & Family. That way you'll be ready to purchase Genie+ on the day of your visit and select your entire group for Lightning Lane Entrance return times.

Note that the availability of Genie+ is not guaranteed, and it is possible for it to fill up on popular days or at a particular park. The earlier in the day you purchase, the less likely Genie+ will be unavailable, however. My suggestion is to purchase first thing when you wake up.

When you're ready to purchase, open My Disney Experience. On the homepage, you should see a "Purchase" option for Genie+ towards the top. Tap to begin. On the next page, tap "Get Disney Genie+ Service," which will bring you to a selection screen with the day's pricing. When making your selection, if you have Park Hopper and would like to use Genie+ in multiple parks, select the "Multiple Parks" option. Otherwise, select the park you'll be visiting for the day. Tap "Continue" to select who among your party will be using Genie+ before completing your transaction.

    I hope this helps!
