My family of three will be visiting Orlando in August and we are planning to go to Magic Kingdom for one day only. If we reserve a campsite for $53, will we still get magic bands and the benefits of extra hours? Even if our check in day is the same day?

    Hi Taylor!

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is one of my favorite places to stay while visiting Walt Disney World. I wish you were going to be able to stay longer then one day so you could enjoy the great amenities and atmosphere at this unique place.

The Fort Wilderness Resort is treated just as any other Disney resort and guests there receive the same amenities and perks. When you have a reservation there you will be eligible to receive a magic band and can enjoy all the park perks such as the Extra Magic Hours. Check-in is 1pm but you are welcome to check in earlier if you wish to visit the parks. You can park your vehicle and supplies at the front parking lot and then take the buses to the parks. If you are heading to the Magic Kingdom you will need to hop on one of the internal buses and take that to the other end of the resort to the marina. The only way to reach the Magic Kingdom using Disney transportation is to use the boat. Buses do not run to this park from the Fort.

I hope you can enjoy your day in the park and hope you can also enjoy some of the great Fort Wilderness activities while you are there.
