Hi, Tracie!
I am glad you checked out the
menu at
Tusker House ahead of time so there are no surprises when you get there. I remember when my kids were little and always having to find chicken fingers - about the only food they ate until age 10!
Unfortunately, at any buffet or all-you-care-to-enjoy location, each guest must pay for their meal. Now since your son is only 6, he will only pay the child cost (about $25 for dinner) which is a bit cheaper than the adult cost. I just took a glance at the menu, and there is mac and cheese, salads, potatoes, rice, fish of the day, pb&j sandwiches, fruit salad, breads, hummus, and more. I do not know if any of that would be of interest to him!
This really is a charming restaurant, and I like it because it is a bit different and has a more exotic feel than your average buffet location. However, if your little guy just isn't into it, perhaps you should forego Tusker House this trip in lieu of a restaurant more to his taste.
Whatever you decide, enjoy a wonderful day at
Disney's Animal Kingdom!
