Julie from NB Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are a family of three adults and have never dined at Via Napoli. We are planning on going this fall and are on the regular dining plan. Can you please explain the pizza sizes and how the meal entitlements work? We want the best value.

Well hello there, Julie. Welcome back to planDisney. We just love repeat customers!

So the best advice I can give here is to check with your server when you arrive at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria in EPCOT. Policies and offerings change often and your friendly server will be able to provide the best and most up-to-date information. However, as my friend Ashley P. pointed out to a Guest with a similar question, in the past, if you were using the Disney Dining Plan at this location, individual pizzas were usually counted as 1 meal per person, a large pizza split between 2 people was usually charged 1 meal per person, and if a party of 4 ordered a Mezzo Metro size pizza, each person was usually charged 1 meal per person. Ashley and I think alike because I have the same advice she does: if you're planning to dine here on some delicious pizza, be prepared to use at least 1 meal per person.

Now, Julie, you seem to be like me and want the best value for your money and some delicious food. While I think the Disney Dining Plan is a great value in many cases, I personally would choose to pay cash if I'm planning on sharing pizzas at this location. Why? Well, I'll give you an example. Like you are during your next vacation, I usually travel with adults. And at this time, the Meat Lover Pizza - Mezzo Metro is priced at $60.00 (subject to change). If I pay cash and split that with 3 people (a total of 4 adults), that works out to be $15 a person, not including tax or gratuity. And in all likelihood, I will have paid more for the Disney Dining Plan for that meal than $15 a person. Of course, all of this is relative to your situation and your preferences..and the math works differently when kids are involved. Plus, for some people, value isn't just the monetary price you paid. Sometimes it's all about the convenience...and the dining plans are very convenient! But for me, if I had the Disney Dining Plan and I was dining at this location, I'd either order Individual Pizzas, other dishes, or opt to pay cash if I'm splitting pizza with others.

I hope this helps you plan out what's best for your travel party. Happy planning...and most importantly, happy dining! Any other questions, send them my way.

    Hakuna Matata,
    Matt
