My family were thinking of going to Disney world in the first part of June 2016. What should we expect weather wise and everything else?

    Hello, Brittany,

June is our go-to month for visiting Walt Disney World, and the average temperature in June is 81 degrees with an average high of 91 degrees and an average low of 71 degrees.  We have had trips with seasonably mild temperatures where we were comfortable the entire trip and others that have been hot and humid.

It also is often rainy during June with periodical storms popping up here and there; some of them can be quite heavy. We bring our own rain gear, but you can find rain ponchos available to purchase at Walt Disney World, too, if you'd rather not bring your own on the trip. If you have a little one who will be using a stroller, you may find it worthwhile to invest in a rain cover for the stroller. I'd also be careful with your choices of footwear.  Soggy tennis shoes can be pretty miserable.

But don't be discouraged by the rain. Many attractions are indoors and unaffected by the rain, so you can continue to keep enjoying the parks. In fact, many guests decide to leave the parks often resulting in lighter crowds.  All the parks also have nearby resorts that you are welcome to visit, even if you aren't a guest at the resort. There is shopping and dining at them as well as plenty of places to relax and dry off.
