My family is thinking about coming to DW this fall. We are leaning toward Port Orleans over Wilderness due to price, but we were wondering if the deluxe resorts have more frequent buses, fewer stops and therefore faster times to the parks? Thanks!

    Hi Emily,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are considering two great resorts! I have stayed in every resort category and had short and long bus waits in each one. I have not found the deluxe resorts to have more frequent buses, and sometimes they do share with other resorts. I have found that several of the deluxe resorts have more than one transportation option. For example, you can take a boat from Disney's Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom. If you are planning to spend a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom, boat transportation would be a plus!

To make your decision a little tougher, Port Orleans has boat transportation to Downtown Disney. When we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter, my family loved being able to hop on a boat to Downtown Disney instead of dealing with the car or a bus.

If I can help answer any other questions about the resorts or vacation planning, be sure to let me know!
    Happy planning!
