Hello there, my family are taking a trip to WDW for my daughter's 2nd birthday, were staying for 4 days at DAOA and I was wondering how much spending money would you suggest I take (food, and some souvenirs)? Also are the rental strollers big or small?

    Hi Whitley,

Are you a family of three?  If so, I would budget $150/day to cover food and souvenirs.  That's assuming you plan to eat most of your meals at counter service restaurants.  If you wish to add a few table service meals (like a character dining experience, which I highly recommend), then it would be better to allocate $200 per day.  Since you will be a guest at a Disney resort, consider adding the Disney Dining Plan to your reservation.  That's a great way to save money on food during your stay.  Since your daughter is two, she would not be charged for the dining plan.  She could simply share whatever is on your plate for no extra charge.  If you wish to participate in the Disney Dining Plan, you need to add that option to your reservation several days before your arrival.  It cannot be added at check-in.

The strollers that can be rented inside the parks are fairly big because they accommodate children of varying sizes.  Even if you are flying to Walt Disney World, I encourage you to bring your own lightweight stroller.  You'll save money on rental fees and it will likely be a more comfortable fit for your daughter.  You'll also be glad to have the stroller on hand at your Disney resort.  Strollers rented in the park must be returned before you leave the park.  That would leave you without a stroller elsewhere at Walt Disney World.

Please give your little one a big birthday hug from the Moms Panel!  Have a great trip.
