My family and I will be taking out 1st trip to Disney in Sept and we are so excited. I've been hearing that a lot snack places, dole whip, are no longer on the dining plan. Has this been confirmed? Not sure if the dining plan is the right thing for us now.

    Hi Casey,

Fortunately for fans of the Disney Dining Plan, the Dole Whip rumor turned out to be just that, a rumor. You can still use a snack credit to purchase a Dole Whip at Walt Disney World!

I have used Disney Dining Plans before, but I don't use them every vacation. We try to look at which restaurants we plan to visit and figure out how much it would cost if we paid out of pocket vs. using a dining plan. Particularly during warmer weather we don't tend to eat as much and feel like the dining plan isn't the right choice for us. We also like to simply have an appetizer as our entree for dinner. You might take a look at the restaurants you hope to enjoy and see how much you are likely to spend when you are making you decision about the dining plan.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if we can help you with any other questions!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
