My family is taking a trip this August and just found out that my mom is going to go too. We are staying at the Pop Century Resort and we were hoping to get rooms next to each other or at least close. Can that be arranged when we get there?

    Hi Aubrey:

I just took a family trip to Disney World with my mom and had a wonderful vacation. Whether you made your reservations together or separately, call the Disney reservations line to record your request for connecting, adjoining or nearby rooms. Don't be hesitant to make a specific request and explain the family relationship. Disney will note your room request, though cannot guarantee it will be granted.

A couple of days before you arrive, I would call Pop Century to confirm that your request is listed. The front desk can be reached at 407-938-4000.

When you arrive at the resort, hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised to find rooms near each other. If Disney is not able to accommodate your request upon check-in, inquire if nearby rooms will be available in a few hours. Such flexibility may help Disney secure the desired rooms.

My family has found that Disney has usually, but not always, been able to honor such requests. Good luck and enjoy your vacation.
