Hello: My family is taking the Mexican Riviera Cruise on December 4, 2011. Since this is close to Christmas will there be any Xmas festivities on the Cruise? Someone said that they also have a themed night onboard. Is this so?

    Hi, Patty!

Vamonos a Mexico! I too am sailing on the Disney Wonder very soon to the Mexican Riviera and can't wait! From all there is to do and see on the ship to the colorful ports of call, this itinerary is sure to be the right combination of adventure and relaxation.

For Disney cruises, the ships will be all decked out in a holiday glow from Thanksgiving through the New Year with traditional fare served in the dining rooms as well as fun holiday activities and events planned on the ship. In addition, there's always a Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party where you may want to pack an eye patch, a puffy shirt or a parrot for your shoulder (not a real one!).  Of course, the crew is fully aware that they're not really in the Caribbean...thankfully they have a better sense of direction than that! But don't tell the Entertainment Team -- it serves as a great reason to party...pirate style!

Let me know if you have other Disney Cruise questions, and you may want to pop by just before your cruise to ask me any pointed questions about the Mexican Riviera. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
