My family and I will be taking are first trip in June.We are staying at the Dolphin.I was wonding if it is possible to walk to Epcot and then take the monorail to Magic Kingdom? I have heard the buses are very crowded by the time they get to the dolph

    Hi Lindsey!

Congratulations on your first trip to Walt Disney World - it will be here sooo soon!  While it may seem like a good idea to walk to Epcot and then grab the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom, it may take you longer than you think.  The walk to Epcot is around 15 minutes, but it only brings you to the International Gateway entrance.  You must then walk all the way to the exit at Future World, which will take another 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.  Next you will get on the monorail, hop off at the Ticket and Transportation Center and then get on another monorail to the Magic Kingdom.  The last leg of this trip will take around 45 minutes.  All together, this "short -cut" can actually take an hour and a half!  The bus ride directly to the Magic Kingdom from the Dolphin is around 20 minutes.  If you are concerned about the crowds on the bus, I recommend strolling over to the Boardwalk area and catching the bus there.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for lots of empty busses headed your way!

    Much pixie dust,
