My family of 5 are taking our first trip to Disney World on 8/6/12. I am looking for a little help in planning our days there. We are staying at the Grand Floridian for 8 nights. We have a 4 day Magic Your Way with water parks. My kids are 14, 11, 8

    Hi Mike,

Sounds you definitely know how to plan an extraordinary 1st visit to Walt Disney World.  Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is unparalleled.  You are going to fall in love with this magical place.

Based on the the type of tickets you have selected and the availability of Extra Magic Hours, here's where I'd spend your days in August:

8-6:  check in and explore your home resort, enjoy Wishes over Cinderella Castle from the boat dock or your room balcony (if you have a theme park view)

8-7:  go to EPCOT and stay as late as midnight

8-8:  sleep in and then head to Blizzard Beach

8-9:  get to the Magic Kingdom for morning Extra Magic Hours beginning at 8 am

8-10:  shop at Downtown Disney and explore DisneyQuest

8-11:  make the most of morning Extra Magic Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios

8-12:  kick back at Typhoon Lagoon

8-13:  head to Disney's Animal Kingdom for an 8 am opening

8-14:  enjoy a farewell breakfast at your home resort or neighboring Disney's Polynesian Resort

If you need help planning the activities within each day, just submit a separate follow-up question for each park.  We'd be happy to help you plan!

Best wishes for a vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
