Hello, my family is taking our first trip to Disney in July. 2 young girls and 2 teenage boys (15, & 17) . Can the boys ride rides without an adult? I’m guessing they don’t want to do all the girly things my little girls are wanting to do.

    Hi Cathy!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are getting ready for a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your family and I'm so happy to help you with your plans. Be sure to pick up complimentary First Visit buttons from any theme park Guest Relations location or Disney Resort hotel front desk so Cast Members and other Guests can help you celebrate your first trip to visit Mickey!

Per the official Walt Disney World Resort rules, Guests who are under 14 years old must be accompanied by a Guest 14 years old or above in order to enter the theme parks. Also, to board an attraction, Guests who are under 7 years old need to be accompanied by a Guest who is 14 years old  or above. While in the theme parks, your children need to be supervised in the theme parks, but as long as you feel comfortable allowing your sons to enjoy attractions on their own, then they are able to ride by themselves.

Be sure to take advantage of Rider Switch to help your family maximize your theme park time! This system will allow all of the "big kids" (including the adults) to enjoy all of the attractions on their "must-do" lists, but your little ones won't need to wait in queues for attractions they won't be enjoying!

Please let us know if you have additional questions as you continue planning your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
