Our family will be taking our first Disney vacation at the end of this month (June 24-30). We want to make sure we do not miss the fireworks. Where is the best place to see this amazing show?

    Hi Teresa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited for you - your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is coming up soon!

The Happily Ever After fireworks show at Magic Kingdom is amazing. Luckily, you have several options for viewing. Just be sure to find a spot in front of Cinderella Castle. On our last visit, we found our spot right after the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party ended. Facing the castle, we were to the left, near the castle entrance. As soon as the parade ended, a cast member started taping off viewing areas in front of the castle. We grabbed a spot immediately. There were no other people in front of us. The crowds for this show can be intense. While our spot was FANTASTIC for viewing the show, it would have taken us forever to get out of the park afterwards, so we decided to go ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad while the crowds left the park!

I have also watched the show from the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing area and from the Main Street, U.S.A. area closer towards the entrance. Our view at the front was the absolute best for my girls. It felt absolutely magical! To get that spot, we were in place about two hours prior to the show. I saved the seats while I sent the girls to do a ride with a Fast Pass+. Be careful though - pathways get roped off before the show.

Teresa, we also enjoy dining during the fireworks at either California Grill or 'Ohana. In the past, we have requested window tables and cast members have been able to accommodate those requests. We had spectacular views and did not have to deal with the crowds leaving the parks!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
