We are a family of 5 and will be taking our first Disney Cruise. We heard Disney offers transportation but I need to find out how much from a Disney hotel and also the cost of going from cruise to the airport. Any help is appreciated!

Oh, boy, Barbara! I bet you're so excited for your family to go on your very first Disney cruise - I'm excited for you! I'm glad you stopped by planDisney to ask this great question about transportation.

Disney Cruise Line does offer ground transportation to and from any Disney World hotel to Port Canaveral, as well as to and from the cruise terminal to the Orlando Airport. You must reserve your family's spot on the bus in advance by adding to your cruise reservation, which does include a per-person fee. Prices are subject to change, but currently the cost of transportation from Port Canaveral to the Orlando Airport is $45 per Guest. For the hotel transfer cost, I recommend you give Disney a call to discuss options. You can also make your reservations during that same call, as well. Be prepared to provide your flight details.

I should add, I just guessed your cruise terminal was Port Canaveral, but if you are embarking on a Disney cruise from a different port, you'll be able to find transportation details for all Disney Cruise Line ports on the website

Now for the fun stuff! (Not that ground transportation isn't fun. Those bus rides, with the classic Disney movies and Disney trivia, are rocking!)

Make sure you have the Disney Cruise Navigator App downloaded before you arrive for your cruise. It will be your best pal while aboard. The entire list of daily activities, from Kids Club to trivia, movie showings to nightly themes, are located in the app. My family could easily scroll through and give a little "heart" to anything that interested us, and it would automatically create our own personal itinerary with all our favorite picks! This helps to keep track of all the fun happenings onboard, so you won't miss a thing!

I hope that this information has been helpful for you, Barbara, but more than that, I truly hope you have the most magical time on your Disney cruise. There's really nothing like it. If you have any other questions that come up in your planning, don't hesitate to reach out again!

    See you real soon,
    McCayla
