Hi there, Rachel!
A first Disney Cruise? That is something worth celebrating! I'm so happy to help you plan your adventures at sea.
You have asked about one of my very favorite topics: food! Embarkation day is so exciting, and the timing often works out that my family wants to eat lunch as soon as we're on the ship. There are usually a few options available, including the buffet at
Cabanas, quick service options on the pool deck, and lunch in one of the main dining rooms. Those opportunities could vary depending on what time you get on the ship, so you'll want to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or ask a Cast Member when you board about the current options. They will be able to point you in the right direction!
Once you've had lunch on the ship you'll be ready to explore! My kids always bring their swimming suits in their
carry-on bags so that they can hit the pool right away. A great way to get to know the ship is to join the
Midship Detective Agency to help solve a mystery that will take you across decks and show you how to make some magic happen in special art pieces. It's really fun and you'll be navigating around the ship like a pro!
There are so many great
dining options on the Disney Fantasy. But don't forget about one of my favorites...
room service! I love to order a snack in the afternoons while we take a break or a last treat before bed. It's also super easy to order a light breakfast, which is especially handy if you have an early Port Adventure.
Rachel, I think I need to go find a snack! If you have more questions I hope you'll sail back over to ask us. Happy planning!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
