Ahoy, Kim!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for writing and asking this really excellent question! My son has special medical and developmental needs, so I understand the importance of planning ahead and asking many questions before every vacation. I can't tell you how excited I am that you are setting sail on a Disney Cruise! One of the many reasons we love cruising with Disney is because they go above and beyond trying to accommodate my son's needs.
The Youth Clubs onboard are amazing! There are counselors with the kids inside the Youth Clubs; however, the counselors are unable to provide one-on-one care (including medical one-on-one care) for kiddos. If you haven't taken a look at
Disney Cruise Line's participation guidelines for children with special needs at the Youth Clubs, I suggest reading it when you have a moment! Guess what?! You and your family are able to join her in
Vibe during the Open House hours! The Open House hours for each Youth Club will be listed in your Personal Navigator newsletter and Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Kim, if you haven't done so already, give
Disney Cruise Line's Special Services Team a call at (407) 566-3602. You can speak with them about your daughter's needs inside the Youth Club and they can go into more details about the activities inside Vibe. Special Services will also be able to discuss any other accommodations she might need during your voyage! We call Special Services before each Disney Cruise and they've been so compassionate and helpful!
Please let us know if you have any future questions before your inaugural cruise in August!
