Hello! My family and I are taking a Disney World vacation next year. We will have a 3 children: 1, 2 and 7. It is also my husbands first time. Should we do the 1st wk of May or last wk of September. I saw September will have the MNSSHP and the F&W.

    Hello Danielle,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your wonderful question.  How exciting to be planning a first visit for your loved ones.  Thinking about all of the cherished memories you are going to create and every magical moment awaiting you must be thrilling.

May and September are both lovely times to visit, but my family's personal favorite is September and largely because of the special events you mentioned.  Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is such a fun family event.  My family loves dressing up in our favorite costumes and trick-or-treating around the Magic Kingdom.  Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade is phenomenal and capping off the end of the night with Happy HalloWishes fireworks is truly spook-tacular.  No matter how many times we have attended we continue to adore this experience.  The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival holds a similar near and dear place in my heart because the first time we attended was on our honeymoon. Spending an afternoon exploring Epcot on a culinary adventure is such a relaxing and enjoyable experience.  There are also several demonstrations, seminars, concerts and other exciting events available during this time.

Choose your vacation based on what works best for your family, but if they are equally convenient, I highly recommend an autumn adventure.  If you have any other questions or would like any other recommendations or suggestions, please let me know.  Until then have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation.

    Best Wishes,

    Lauren
