My family is taking our 1st Disney trip during Christmas week. December 22nd - 26th. This is last minute and I'm horrible at planning. Can someone help me out? We are staying a mile outside of Disney and have a 5 & 6 year old.

    Hi, Regina!

You've come to the right place if you're looking for planning advice on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! We love to plan and we love to help! :-)

Not to worry; you're here early enough to help plan your trip in such a way that you'll be truly thrilled.

First, have you gotten your park passes yet? Send another question so I can advise you about either the use of what you purchased or tips ono which park passes to purchase. You've some wiggle room there, mostly depending on if you'd like to park hop (go to more than one park on the same day.) Let me know that, as well.

Next, your most pressing concern will be to decide if you'd like to enjoy any Table-Service meals. Because the Dining Plan is so popular and because you're heading to WDW over Christmas week, I do not recommend arriving with no TS reservations, as you may find your self without a place to dine most nights, or, at the very least, unable to dine early enough for your little ones. As soon as you can, call (407) WDW-DINE if you'd like to have a sit-down Christmas dinner; if you would like to do so, ask the Cast Member at Dining to help you find an easy-to-access location for that meal and book it right away. (For example, The Wave at Disney's Contemporary Resort may have more openings than a Character Dining location, such as Chef Mickey's. Plus, this resort is a quick monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom, so you won't lose much time in getting there.) If you'd like to have a Character Breakfast during your stay, book that now as well. If your plans change, you can always cancel your reservations, but as Christmas approaches, there will fewer reservations available, that's for sure.

Send more questions, Regina, as we still have time to make this last-minute trip the most magically spectacular for your family. I'd love to help!
