All 11 of our family are taking a Disney Cruise July 10, 2021 on the Fantasy. What are the benefits of booking Disney ground transportation from MCO to the Port and returning the same way?

    Welcome aboard, Ferman!

I'm hoping you are counting down the days to your sailing and all the magic that's included. Your Eastern Caribbean itinerary looks fabulous! The ports of Tortola, St. Thomas, and Castaway Cay are like a tropical island trifecta. I hope you will have plenty of memory making on your Disney Fantasy voyage with your multigenerational vacation.

The advantages to Disney Cruise Line ground transportation are not having to worry about getting from Point A to Point B even with a big group and the peace of mind knowing that Captain Mickey has everything under control. There’s usually luggage and people limits to private transportation, but not with Disney ground transfers. I am certain those big buses have the space to accommodate your party and all your pieces of luggage. (Which is always a plus for me because I am an overpacker!)

Ground transfers can be added by contacting Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent at least three days prior to your voyage. While always subject to change, current pricing is $ 39 per Guest (ages 3 and up) each way.

While having Captain Mickey handle your transfers will be the easiest way to get to and from the port, with a party of 11, it may not be the most economical. I suggest that you check on a car service (or in this case, they would likely recommend a passenger van for your family). It’s likely going to be the best deal for you and your crew.

But for a splurge, the most FUN arrival and departure I ever had to Port Canaveral was using a limousine service. To celebrate my best friend’s 40th birthday, my friends and I all pooled our resources to book a stretch limo and had an absolute blast! What a way to kick off the start of a fabulous cruise...not to mention take away the sadness from returning to shore. Whatever method of arrival and departure you decide, you can be certain that the MIDDLE part of the trip (the cruise) is sure to be practically perfect in every way!

Sail back to planDisney if you have any additional questions before your high seas adventure. Have a FANTAStic time and tell Captain Mickey I said hi!

    Happy Sailing!
