Hi David!
I'm so excited for you and your family’s upcoming cruise from Port Canaveral! As a lifelong Floridian, I recommend flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO)—it's the most convenient option and about a 45-minute drive to the
Disney Cruise Line Terminal at Port Canaveral. I’ve done this trip myself recently, and it worked out perfectly!
Just to share a little tip from my own experience—I recently took a cruise out of Port Canaveral, and I decided to add a night’s stay at a
Disney Resort Hotel before the cruise. It was a great way to start the vacation early and enjoy the magic of the parks and resorts, especially with all the festive holiday decorations. After soaking in the Disney fun, we had an easy 45-minute drive to the port, which made for a seamless transition from land to sea.
If you’re interested, you can also add air travel,
ground transportation, or even a hotel stay by calling (800) 951-3532. For transfers between the airport and the port, Disney offers ground transportation for $45 per guest (prices subject to change without notice), which starts at 10:00 AM on embarkation day. It’s a super convenient option if you don’t want to worry about driving or parking.
I hope this helps, and I’m sure you and your family will have an unforgettable time! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to planDisney. Wishing you smooth travels and an amazing cruise adventure!
Happy Planning!
