Hiya Tracy - welcome to
planDisney!
Getting a head start on planning your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is such a great idea. It looks like you'll be visiting the Most Magical Place On Earth during the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration - get ready for more magic than ever before!
Disney Resorts Collection hotels offering Family Suites are a fantastic option for larger families needing a bit more room to spread out. Currently,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort and
Disney's All-Star Music Resort offer these unique accommodations which can sleep up to six adults, including one Queen bed in a separate bedroom and two Double-Size beds (either sleeper sofas and/or TableBeds). The kitchenettes and second bathrooms will also really help keep everyone in your crew happy!
For these two Resorts, "preferred" typically refers to Guest rooms that are located closer to the main buildings - Animation Hall and Melody Hall. For Art of Animation, the Finding Nemo Family Suites are nearest to Animation Hall, and as a bonus, they flank The Big Blue Pool! At All-Star Music, all Family Suites are located in the Calypso and Jazz Inn sections, both of which are just a short walk to Melody Hall. The Calypso buildings are a tad closer, and you can always make a request for your room to be located there by talking to a Cast Member at the Front Desk of the Resort. They might be able to sprinkle some extra pixie dust, depending on availability!
Both of these Resorts are excellent choices! I love the convenient
Disney Skyliner transportation available at Art of Animation, and the Guest rooms at All-Star Music were recently updated with beautiful modern touches and upgraded amenities. You simply can't go wrong!
I'm sure you have a lot to consider, so don't hesitate to
reach out when other questions come up!
See ya real soon,
Ryan J.
