My family stays in the value resorts because we are generally only in the room to shower & sleep. What are the main differences b/t the value & moderate resorts. Is it worth staying at the moderate if we stay at the parks all day? traveling 6/2

Hi, Jennifer!    By upgrading to a Moderate Resort, you get a larger room  (approximately 314 square feet vs. 260 square feet,) a refrigerator, 2 sinks in the bathroom, swimming pool with a slide (no slide at the Value Resorts) and a hot tub near the pool area.   Select rooms at Port Orleans Riverside have a trundle bed which allows for a 5th guest in your room, ideal for larger families.

If you do not spend any time in your room, then upgrading probably would not be worth it to you.   However, if you plan to spend time at the pools and want to relax at your resort, then a Moderate Resort might be worth the extra money for you.   Either way, I hope you have a magical stay in WDW!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
