    Our family will be staying at Wilderness Lodge Dec. 10-16. with 2 boys ages 6 & 7. We would like to do Mickeys backyard Barbecue. what is the easiest way to get there? What character diniing would you suggest?

    Hello Julie!  The easiest way to get to Fort Wilderness from the Wilderness Lodge is to take the water taxi.  It is about a 14 minute ride and the marina is only about a five minute walk to the location of Mickey's Backyard Barbecue.

    Other great character dining that I would suggest includes Chef Mickey at the Contemporary and Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom.  Chef Mickey's is by far one of the most popular as it is one of the few places you can see all the major Disney characters....Mickey, MInnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.  The Tusker House characters can include Donald, Daisy, and Goofy.
