My family will be staying at Wilderness Lodge. What is the best way to get from our hotel to The Contemporary and The Grand Floridian where we have meal reservations? Would it be faster to drive our own vehicle? Can we leave our vehicle overnight? Thx!

Hi Lisa and welcome to the Mom's Panel!

You have a couple of options here:-

The absolutely quickest way of getting from Disney's Wilderness Lodge to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort or Disney's Contemporary Resort would be to drive. It would take approximately 5 minutes to get to the Contemporary & 10 minutes to the Grand Floridian from the Wilderness Lodge by Car.

If you have advanced dining reservations at any restaurants which are located at a Disney Resort, you will be permitted to park your Car at that resort for up to 3 hours.

If however you decide to use Disney's Transportation, the quickest way to get to your dining reservations would be to catch either a Boat or Bus from your Resort to the Magic Kingdom and then from there, catch a monorail to the Grand Floridian or Contemporary Resort.

As a guide, when travelling from Resort to Resort, I like to leave an hour in total. Although the actual time spent travelling on either of your journeys would be approximately 25 - 30 minutes you also have to allow for time taken waiting for your chosen mode(s) of transport.

I hope that this has helped and that you enjoy your time at both of these beautiful Resorts!
