Hi Linda,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Like you, I like to have groceries in my room while on a Walt Disney World resort vacation. I find that it saves both time and money to prepare some meals and snacks in our villa.
You are correct, a
Disney Vacation Club member is someone who has purchased into this vacation ownership program. As Disney Vacation Club members, we receive an annual allotment of Vacation Points that can be used for stays at Disney Vacation Club resorts, and also traded in for many vacation opportunities world-wide. Disney Vacation Club members also enjoy a wide variety of benefits, one of which is grocery delivery offered to Disney Vacation Club resorts. You do need to be a member of Disney Vacation Club in order to take advantage of this grocery delivery service.
Do not worry; there are other grocery delivery services that you can use! A popular one that many Walt Disney World guests have used is Garden Grocer, found at gardengrocer.com. More recently, guests have also used Amazon Prime Now and other delivery services. The unofficial website Touring Plans (touringplans.com) recently did a blog post on comparing grocery delivery services at Walt Disney World, including Garden Grocer, Amazon Prime Now, instacart, and Shipt. If you search the internet for "touring plan grocery delivery," you should be able to find this two-part blog post.
I hope that this information is helpful for you, Linda! Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
