    My Family is staying at SOG this June. Celebrating my husbands return from Iraq, Yay! We are wanting to make sure we are at AK for the opening of the gates. Since SOG buses do not start until 30 min before park opening. How do you suggest we get there?

    You could always walk over to the Ticket and Transportation Center.  It's a convenient distance from the Shades of Green; the walk will likely only take 5-10 minutes.  Disney transportation begins running one full hour before the parks open, so by using Disney busses rather than the Shades of Green busses, you'll have the opportunity to get there on time for rope drop at the Animal Kingdom. 

    You may even be able to hitch a ride on a golf cart.  During our stay there a couple of years ago they had a golf cart that would sometimes shuttle guests to and from the Polynesian and the Ticket and Transportation Center.
