Welcome to planDisney Adam, and thank you for sending us your question! I’m so glad to help you as you plan your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Staying at Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek puts you in a great location close to the magic, and I love that you’re also planning to spend some time at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The Polynesian is such a special place, and dining there is always a treat. Since it’s only natural to wonder if you can enjoy the resort’s pool while visiting for a meal, I’d be happy to share what you can expect.
You and your family will have a wonderful time at the
Polynesian, but the Lava Pool is reserved exclusively for guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Disney takes pool access policies seriously, and most pool areas are gated with entry requiring a room key or MagicBand linked to that specific resort. Even if you are dining there, either at ‘Ohana, Kona Café, or Captain Cook’s, that does not extend swimming privileges at the Lava Pool or the resort’s quiet pool.
That being said, there are still many experiences you can enjoy while visiting the Polynesian. The resort grounds themselves are beautiful to explore, and many guests love browsing the shops or grabbing a famous Dole Whip from
Pineapple Lanai. The beach area is another highlight, offering a relaxed place to sit and even a view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks in the evening, with the accompanying music piped in for guests to enjoy.
Adam, I hope this helps you feel prepared for your visit to Disney’s Polynesian Resort and gives you peace of mind about what to expect when it comes to pool access. Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. Wishing you a magical vacation filled with fun at the parks and special memories made with your family!
