    My family is staying at Shades of Green later this year with a 5 year old and a 1 year old. I'm having trouble determining what Disney Resort benefits apply to us - like Dining Plans. Can I purchase them? Does a 1-year old require a dining plan?

    Great question!  I have stayed many times in Shades of Green. What a beautiful resort! You are truly going to enjoy it! Although Shades of Green is located within the Walt Disney World Resort, it is not a Disney Resort Hotel rather an Armed Forces Recreation Center Resort and the only benefit Guests are entitled to are the Extra Magic Hours. Since they have a different reservation system, the confirmation numbers cannot be linked in your My Disney Experience Account, nor will you receive a complimentary MagicBand and cannot purchase a Disney Dining Plan. 

    Did you know?    : The Walt Disney World Resort has some great offers for military personnel! My family and I took advantage of the awesome discount in January when we stayed at the Cabins in Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. I believe we saved close to 30% off of the regular rates!
