My family is staying in 2 separate rooms on property. We will be adding the standard dining plan to one room-2 adults, 1 kid. Will I be able to use the table service credits on others in my party if we do separate checks with 2 adults on each transaction?

    Hi there, Lauren!

How magical that a Walt Disney World Resort vacation awaits you in 2025! I'm so glad you chose to make planDisney a part of your preparations!

As we wrap up 2024, I am reminded of all of the magical news this year brought for Guests of Walt Disney World Resort...including the return of dining plans! These are incredibly popular among Guests (and many planDisney panelists) because of the all-inclusive feel they add to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. While all Disney Resort hotel Guests have access to complimentary transportation, those who add a dining plan to the reservation have their meals, snacks, and beverages covered as well.

Because you have chosen to add a dining plan to your Disney Resort hotel reservation, each person named on the reservation over the age of 3 will be allocated a certain number of meals, snacks, and a resort-refillable mug corresponding to the length of stay. Unfortunately, Lauren, these dining credits are nontransferable, so they cannot be shared with other Guests, even if you are dining at the same table and hoping to pay on separate checks.

I understand that this is likely not what you were hoping to hear, so you might consider speaking with your server before ordering to see if they would consider permitting you to either share your credits or even share meals among members of your dining party. It's important to keep in mind that this would be an exception rather than the rule and is not guaranteed as it would be granted at individual Cast Member discretion.

Since we're talking dining, Lauren, I wanted to remind you that you'll be able to make your advance dining reservations soon, so now's the time to peruse menus and decide what restaurants top your list of magical must-dos. Personally, I never pass up the opportunity to dine with my favorite chipmunks at Garden Grill Restaurant or laugh at cringe-worthy puns while enjoying the unique cuisine of Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen.

I hope this information is helpful, Lauren, and that your upcoming vacation is filled with magical memories made around the dinner table. If you're in need of additional assistance as you finalize your plans, feel free to stop back by. I'm always happy to help!

    Thinking Happy Thoughts,
    Lizzie
