Hi Laura,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I have recently stayed at
Disney's Saratoga Spring Resort & Spa on a Walt Disney World vacation. It is a lovely resort.
The good news is that although Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a large resort, there are bus stops in each of the sections of the resort. This way, you are never too far away from the bus stop. If you are looking to be close to many of the amenities of the resort, including High Rock Spring Pool area and the restaurants, you will want to say in The Springs area.
As for specific locations to request, I find that it is most often more helpful to describe your request, that you would like to be close to a bus stop, rather than give a specific location. This way, if your specific location is not available, the cast member assigning your deluxe studio knows why you want the location that you do. I suggest that you use the same system that you used for booking your reservation to have your request noted on your reservation. If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, you can call Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 to have your request noted on your reservation. Closer to your vacation, you can also call the resort directly at 407-827-1100 to have the request noted.
Upon arrival at the resort, ask the cast member at check in to show you where your deluxe studio is located. If you are unhappy with the location, and explain what you would prefer, sometimes the cast member can help to switch your deluxe studio to another location if you are willing to wait for a while. Please do know that while Disney will do their best to honor any requests, they cannot be guaranteed.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Laura. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
