Welcome back to planDisney, Robert!
My family loves spending Easter at the Walt Disney World Resort, and your question has me dreaming about pastel colors, chocolate treats, and springtime vibes. It’s such a lovely time for a visit!
We don’t have official word about Easter plans at this time, but in past years at Magic Kingdom Park, a little Easter magic has been added to the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, and Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny have greeted Guests in their Garden. As part of Walt Disney World Resort’s phased reopening, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is currently unavailable, but a variety of
character cavalcades are taking place throughout the day in Magic Kingdom Park, so it’s possible some Easter friends could pop up. Similarly, many character experiences are temporarily unavailable for health and safety reasons, so I can’t promise a visit with the Easter bunnies this spring. My advice would be to read the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates as we get closer to Easter.
For gorgeous springtime fun and delicious treats, don't miss the
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which will be taking place during your visit. More details will be released as we get closer to the festival’s opening date on March 3, 2021, but that’s another favorite Easter spot for my family. I also recommend Minnie’s Springtime Dine at
Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studio. My mom and I could not get enough of Minnie and her friends in their spring outfits – we felt like we had stepped into Minnie’s version of the movie Easter Parade!
In Disney Springs, I recommend checking out the special treats available. I bet
Amorette’s Patisserie will offer some delectable and beautiful Easter chocolates and sweets; The Ganachery is another can’t miss sweet shop. The Disney Parks Blog usually publishes a Foodie Guide for holidays and festivals, so stay tuned!
Robert, I’m so excited to hear you’ll be staying at
Disney’s Riviera Resort. There should be some kind of Easter celebration taking place; in past years, my family has met characters in their Easter finery at our resort hotels, and we’ve participated in candy scrambles and arts and crafts activities. Your resort will have Easter weekend activities and events posted, and you’re also welcome to check with a Cast Member. Things will look different this year for health and safety reasons, but Disney’s Cast Members have found lots of creative ways to safely sprinkle holiday pixie dust, and I can't wait to see what they do this Easter.
I hope these Easter eggs have helped with your holiday plans, Robert! More details should be released as we get closer to Easter, and please come back and see us if you think of any more questions as you count down the days.
Wishing you a magical vacation and a very
hoppy Easter,
Robyn
