Our family will be staying at Port Orleans-Riverside and we want to do some resort hopping. Can we park our car at other resorts? Also, we'd like to ride the Skyliner - what is the best way to do that?

    Hello Jessica!

You have selected a fabulous Walt Disney World Resort! I am sure that your family will love Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside! Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is one of my favorite Moderate Resorts to stay at because of the theme and location.

Yes, you can drive your vehicle to other Walt Disney World Resorts and tour them or do some shopping and dining at them. Just tell the Cast Member at the Security Gate that you would like to tour the Resort. Keep in mind that at certain times of the year, a Walt Disney World Resort's park may be closed to Guests who don't have an Advanced Dining Reservation or are not staying at that particular Resort.

I have some other great options for you to ride the Walt Disney World Transportation System and tour Resorts. My first recommendation is to drive your vehicle to Disney's Hollywood Studio and park it there. Then hop on the Disney Skyliner heading to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (the central Skyliner station). You can stop and explore Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, or you can transfer to the Skyliner that is going to Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. You can explore both of these Resorts because they share the same Skyliner station. After you are done touring, you can get back on the Skyliner and trace your journey back to Disney's Hollywood Studios to your vehicle.

My second recommendation is to visit the Monorail Resorts: Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian & Spa Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort. You can park your vehicle at the Ticket and Transportation Center (Magic Kingdom's parking lot) and then take the Resort Monorail and get off at each Resort. After you tour the Resort, get back on the Monorail and go to the following Resort. The Resort Monorail runs clockwise, so the order of the Resorts will be Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian & Spa Resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort, and then back to the Ticket and Transportation Center.

I hope you have an incredible time touring the fantastic Walt Disney World Resorts on your next vacation!
