My family is staying at Port Orleans. We need help to find shortest and easiest way to get from Hollywood Studios to Fort Wilderness Resort for a dinner reservation and then back to Port Orleans after dinner. How much time do we need to allow?

    Hi Amy,

(Great name!) The shortest and easiest way to get to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort from Disney's Hollywood Studios is to take a bus. When you exit the front of the park, look for which bus stop services Fort Wilderness. That is the most direct route to take. I would allow 45 minutes to an hour to make this journey.

When you are finished with your dinner, you have a couple of options. You can take a bus to an open park, Magic Kingdom Park for instance, then transfer to a Port Orleans bus. For a change of pace, you could take a boat to the Magic Kingdom Park then take the bus back to Port Orleans. I would allow anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half for this journey. If it's late and you don't want to deal with transferring, you could always call a taxi to pick you up and deliver you back to Port Orleans.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
