Our family of 5 will be staying at POR 6/5-10. We will be staying in the Alligator Bayou. My husband has health problems and we need a room close to the main pool and lobby. Do we need documentation from his dr. for special medical conditions? Thank you

    Hi Angel,
Your trip will be here before you know it!

Port Orleans Riverside is made up of groupings of buildings, and each group has their own pool.  There is also a central pool on an island in the middle of the resort.  You will not be too far from a pool!

Regarding being close to the lobby:  In Alligator Bayou, the buildings closest to the lobby are buildings number 14, 15 or 18.  If you have not already done so, I would recommend calling Disney reservations at 407-WDISNEY and indicating your preference on your reservation.  These buildings will likely be 'preferred' location rooms (which cost a little extra).  You do not need a doctors note for this.  If you need a special room type, like a room that is easily accessible by wheelchair, make sure you mention this to the reservations department.

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
