Hi, Our family of 5 is staying at the POR in October. How much time should we give ourselves from the bus stop at this resort in the morning to the parks? Trying to get our morning schedule in order. Also, I love this site. Thank you!!

    Hi John!

First of all, thank you so much for the compliment!  I believe I can speak for all of the Disney Parks Moms Panelists when I say that it is truly our goal to help everyone have the most magical Walt Disney World vacation possible.

You sound like you are a planner.  I can relate to that, because I am one, too!   The Disney buses are a wonderful convenience and bonus for staying on property.  They are usually very punctual and your wait should be minimal.  That being said, there may be circumstances when you do have to wait longer.  So, if I have a particular time that I know I have to be in a park, I usually leave one hour of travel time, minimum. (OK, if I am being honest, I am chronically early and am usually shooing my family out the door an hour and a half prior...)  Yes, this usually gets me there way before I need to be, but I would much rather be early than late.

If you're not necessarily needing to be there at a particular time, I would say it would take roughly between 25 - 45 minutes to get to a park, depending on which park you are going to, and providing that there are no extenuating circumstances.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your trip.
