Hello! My family and I will be staying at the Pop Century Resort around Thanksgiving. Are the pools heated, or should the water be warm enough to swim in? I see that the average temperature is between 60 and 80 degrees for that time of year!

Hello Lauren! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Disney's Pop Century Resort is one of my favorite places to stay in all of Walt Disney World Resort regardless of Deluxe, Moderate or Value Accommodations.

The great news about the pools at Walt Disney World Resort is that they are always set to a comfortably warm temperature of around 82 degrees, no matter the temperature outside. When my wife and I visited for the Walt Disney World Marathon last year, the temperature was incredibly low (by Florida standards) and we were still able to dip into the pool to relax, although we mostly kept to the hot tubs to soothe our aching joints.

So be sure to pack your swimsuits for your upcoming trip comfortable knowing that if your family can handle the air temperature, the water temperature will not disappoint. When our kids went to the pool, it was not the water temperature but the temperature above that made swimming uncomfortable.

Be sure to check out the scavenger hunt around Disney's Pop Century Resort by speaking with a Cast Member at the front desk. We had some hidden family fun locating all of the classic items around the Resort during some downtime.

    Have a Groovy Visit!
