Hi Heidi,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up next MONTH, and I’m doing a happy dance for you. Your magical vacation will be here so, so soon!
You are correct that only registered Guests at each Walt Disney World Resort hotel may use that hotel’s pool. Although
Disney’s Pop Century Resort and
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort are neighboring resorts, they do not share pool privileges, which means that if your children are registered at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, they may only use the pools at that resort. This policy helps reduce overcrowding at the resort pools; many of the pools now have MagicBand touchpoints at the entrance gates, and a friend recently spotted Cast Members scanning MagicBands at her resort pool.
Heidi, I do recommend checking in with a Recreation Cast Member to confirm, as they always have the best and most up-to-date information about pool policies, and they may have additional suggestions on ways your kiddos can flip their fins with their grandparents.
My children love visiting Walt Disney World Resort with their grandparents, and I hope your whole family makes lots of magical memories on your
Grand Adventure next month. One of our favorite things to do all together is
character dining – not only do we have quite a collection of fabulous family photos with our favorite characters, but we have had so many laughs and sweet moments as the story came alive right before our eyes. My parents especially love the
Best Friends Breakfast Featuring Lilo & Stitch at ‘Ohana – the food is yummy, the character interactions are fantastic, and I always get happy tears when we get to shake our maracas and parade around the restaurant to “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride.” ‘Ohana means family, and it makes for such a special family moment!
I hope you have so much fun counting down, planning, and Disney dreaming, and please come back and see us if you think of any more questions. Let the magic begin!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
