My family is staying at Pop Century and my extended family are staying at Art of Animation. Can we all use the pool together at either resort? We also have family staying at Caribbean Beach, could we use that pool? Or no because it’s a moderate resort?

Hey there, Amy! Welcome back to planDisney!

Location, theme, and, of course, budget are important considerations when choosing a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, but I’d also include pools on that list (it's probably the most important thing on that list if you ask my kids). Let’s dive in and find the information you’re looking for!

It’s so exciting that you’ll be visiting Walt Disney World with so many family members. Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools are reserved for guests staying at that hotel and often require a MagicBand+ or hotel keycard to enter the swimming area. While some sister hotels share swimming areas, such as Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts, guests cannot pool hop between Pop Century, Art of Animation, and Caribbean Beach Resorts.

If you’re looking for a chance to splash and play in the Florida sun with your whole crew, you should consider visiting one of Walt Disney World’s two water parks: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Which water park is open to guests varies throughout the year, so be sure to check their websites or the My Disney Experience mobile app to see which water park is available during your visit. And if you’re visiting between May 26 and September 8, 2026, Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests can get free water park admission on their check-in day! You can find all the details here, including a list of eligible hotels.

I’m sure you were hoping for a different answer, Amy, but I hope this helps with your vacation planning. Pop right back if you have additional questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
