"Welcome home," Jonathan and thanks for stopping by planDisney.
Jonathan, I love that you're planning ahead for your Mom's very important day! In my mind there is no better place to celebrate a milestone than the Walt Disney World Resort and in fact, I'm planning to celebrate my son's upcoming 10th birthday at
Disney's Riviera Resort, so I appreciate this question!
Jonathan, as the Walt Disney World Resort continues to operate in a state of phased reopening, there are a few spaces that are currently unavailable, but, just as the Genie was able to help Aladdin create fanfare, I'm hEAR to help you find a Magical option.
Jonathan, my first recommendation would be to check out
Disney Meetings & Events. From
picnics to elegant galas, this service allows you to build any type of event and customize all aspects. You can even
submit a request online to get quick information. Since the initial request is only a few questions, I highly recommend exploring your choices!
Now, Jonathan, if you know you're looking for a more "low key" celebration, alternatively you could make a group dining reservation at an "off" time (
think mid-morning or mid-afternoon). Since your party size is 10 people, you can call into
Group Reservations at (407) 939-1942.
Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort,
Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or
The Wave... of American Flavors at Disney's Contemporary Resort would be three perfect spots for a dinner party of your size. If you decide to explore this option, make sure you talk with the Cast Member at Group Reservations about all of your needs.
Jonathan, I hope this helps as you're thinking ahead to your Moms' special 60th birthday! I'll be wishing on star for you that you're able to create a party that fits just as perfectly as the glass slipper fit Cinderella.
Please come on back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you might have,
Lauren
