Hey there, Doreen. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Your trip to Walt Disney World is just a few short months away, it will be here before you know it. I bet you are getting so excited!
Doreen, my family and I actually stay at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort quite a lot. In fact, I'd say that I've stayed at that resort more times than any of the others. I love it there and have not experienced problems with the transportation like you have mentioned. Because you aren't visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios or Epcot you won't be taking the Disney Skyliner to any parks but instead using the complimentary bus service to get to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Magic Kingdom Park. Buses start running approximately 45 minutes prior to each of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks opening times and will continue throughout the day until about 1 hour after each park closes. Because of physical distancing, the buses are not being filled to capacity at this time which does mean you can experience longer wait times at the moment. I think you can avoid the stress of it by giving yourself plenty of time to reach your destination each morning. I suggest being at the bus stop waiting at least 1 hour prior to the park opening to make sure you have a good spot in line when the bus comes. If you are worried about complimentary transportation, you can always take a taxi or use a ride-share service from the resort to your destination. I've used ride-share services a lot around the Walt Disney World property and they are always convenient and pretty affordable. If you are trying to be at a Walt Disney World Theme Park at a certain time using one of those services is a way to guarantee you'll be there in a timely manner and then you could always take the complimentary transportation back to the resort later in the day.
Even though you won't be visiting the Walt Disney World Theme Parks that are connected to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort via the
Disney Skyliner, I do encourage you to take a ride high in the sky on them. It is fun to get a birds-eye view of different Resorts and properties around Walt Disney World. The Disney Skyliner is also complimentary so it won't cost you anything to enjoy. The Disney Skyliner connects Disney's Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot to Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Riviera Resort and, of course, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. I really enjoy the quick-service dining location at Disney's Riviera Resort so it might be fun to take a ride in one of the gondolas over there for lunch during your stay.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is one of my favorites to stay at and I think you are going to have such a great time. If you can, I highly recommend working some time at the pool into your itinerary. It's one of my favorite pools on Walt Disney World property. The pool is a zero-entry pool with multiple water slides, water cannons, a splash pad area for the little ones and a large spa to enjoy. I love grabbing some Mickey waffles for breakfast at the Center Town Market and spending the morning by the pool.
Doreen, I hope you have the best time staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. If you have any other questions before your trip, I'd love for you to come back and
ask me.
Have fun!
