My family and I will be staying in the new Art of Animation resort but just wondering if I need to bring money into the park or am I ok just bringing our room key to pay for everything?

    Hi Cara!

Disney's new Art of Animation Resort is going to be so amazing!

One of the great things about staying on property is that your Key to the World Card is everything to you! All food kiosks & carts, shops etc will accept your card to charge back to your room account.

Personally, I like to stick to a bit of a 'budget' and bring cash down for our extra spending. Instead of carting it around with me, I lock it in the room safe and use my Key to The World card for all my spending. Every other evening or first thing in the morning, I visit my resort front desk for a print out on my account, and pay the current balance with cash. I find this way I feel like I'm sticking to my budget somewhat.

If you have young children who may want something like a balloon in the park, you may want to bring a small amount of cash daily. I generally bring no more than $20-$30 daily for my family of four for little incidentals such as that, and charge everything else back to the room account.

I hope you'll visit again if you have any further questions or require recommendations for your upcoming holiday.

Wishing you a simply Magical time on your Walt Disney World vacation Cara!
