We have 17 in our family staying in May 2015, aged 6 months to 65. We would like to eat together at least 2 nights, any suggestions?

    Arlene:

Our family held a reunion of 19 at Disney and our favorite part of each day coming together for a meal. We pre-planned which park we'd visit each day, coordinated a meal in that park together and purchased the dining plan so we didn't have to worry about who was picking up the check!

Two of our favorite meals together were at Biergarten and at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue at Fort Wilderness resort. Biergarten features tables of 10 throughout the restaurant welcoming large parties. The meat-and-potatoes buffet offered something for everyone, made ordering a breeze, and presented no wait. The floor show provided fun entertainment not to mention ample opportunity for laughs as many of the kids got into the "Chicken Dance."

The campy show at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue made for a fun evening that capped off our vacation. The meal was served family-style and who doesn't like fried chicken and ribs? However, the group's favorite dish was the strawberry shortcake. The show was age-appropriate for everyone. We ended the evening down at the fort's marina to watch the water pageant and catch the fireworks across Bay Lake at the Magic Kingdom. There are other restaurants that would shine for your large party like 'Ohana, Coral Reef, and Crystal Palace, so if you don't get your first choice, you'll have plenty of others which will be enjoyable.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
