Hey there, Jennifer!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. We're happy to help as you prepare for your visit in just a few short days!
As indicated in the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, wagons are prohibited at the theme parks, water parks, and indoor venues at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
Stroller wagons are also on the list of prohibited items, though Guest Services may approve them for
use as a wheelchair in order to accommodate special needs guests. This requires approval and is handled on a case-by-case basis.
I've been visiting the parks since my two kids were young, so I know just how tired their legs can get by the end of the day (not to mention the end of a week-long visit). I can also appreciate how heavy they are to carry once they drift off to sleep after hours of magic and pixie dust. My husband and I rented a single stroller for our daughter on our very first visit to Disneyland Resort, but by the time we walked back to our hotel carrying our sleeping 5-year-old son, we were all ready for the double stroller and a good back stretch.
Luckily, guests can
rent single and double strollers at the entrance of each theme park daily or purchase a length-of-stay rental at a discounted rate. Keep in mind that these strollers must be returned before exiting the park, but you can pick up one at your next destination if you plan on park hopping on the same day. Simply hang on to your receipt and present it to a Cast Member at the next park. I'd also like to mention that single strollers are recommended for guests up to 50 lbs, while double strollers are best for kids 100 lbs or less (50 lbs on each side).
Rentals are also available at
Disney Springs if you plan to visit from your neighboring hotel. However, if you need access to a stroller at your resort, you might want to consider a third-party vendor. We've used Kingdom Strollers on past visits, but a quick internet search should offer a few other local Orlando providers.
I hope this helps, Jennifer. If we can answer any additional questions, please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. Wishing you a wonderful vacation!
Magic and memories,
Amy
